Rev. Brenda Barnes loves Jesus Christ. Her pastorates include a time as a student pastor in Pittsburgh and Kiskiminetas Presbyteries. After her ordination in Kiski Presbytery, Rev. Barnes served as a Temporary Supply Pastor until she was called to serve as a Transitional Minister and a Congregation Coach for several churches in four (4) Presbyteries. Brenda’s educational background has included receiving her Master of Divinity, and her Doctorate of Ministry in the Reformed Focus, from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Rev. Barnes enjoys quilting, vintage movies and spending time with her family. She is married to Don (for 30+ years), and they live in Churchill. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24: “The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it!” Relying on the full assurance of Jesus Christ, she strives to live a life worthy of the call to ordained ministry. It was Christ who called her; and Christ will fulfill His Kingdom! Amen!
Pat Hart is the organist and the director of the bell choir at New Hope Church. Pat lives with her husband Glenn, who faithfully pastors two other small churches. Pat is also heavily involved in Redstone Presbytery’s “mission team”. Traveling to different parts of our country Patty and the other team members scrub, clean, build, and fix up homes that have been damaged by hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters. Pat is happily retired and enjoys reading, needlework, and gardening (and she “cans” her garden!
John Cherepko is our church treasurer. He and his wife Lynne are the parents of three grown children and have some grandchildren. John faithfully over sees the finance of New Hope Church. He makes sure that bills are paid promptly and that the resources of the church are used wisely. John is also the chairman of the finance committee of the church. In his spare time John enjoys getting together with friends in a local bowling league.
Tracy Winzek is the secretary at New Hope Church. Tracy knows New Hope Church well and will give you a warm greeting when you call or stop by New Hope Church.
Pam Bouldin is the director of the New Hope choir. She previously was the Director of Music in a Methodist church for 34 years before coming to New Hope. She’s been singing her whole life and was part of a praise team with her son and others sharing her love of music. She’s a fan of 70s music but when times are difficult, she turns to Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin for comfort. Pam has two children, and four grandchildren. She and her husband, Jeff, are very involved in the lives of these little ones. In her spare time, she loves to read, do puzzles, play the guitar and attend every sporting event her grandchildren participate in. The thing she likes best about herself is her compassion. Pam tries to live every day: God First, Family Second, Self Last.
